Recently Completed/ Ongoing Projects
- Development of a DNA biosensor for the authentication of shrimp products, funded by SERB–NPDF, completed in January 2025, undertaken as Principal Investigator.
Achievements
- In2025, recognized and certified by ICAR for developing the technology “Impedimetric DNA biosensor for authentication of Penaeus monodon and Litopenaeus vannamei.”.
- In2025, received the Yang Yi Young Scientist Fellowship Award given by the Asian Fisheries Society and AquaFish.
- In 2022, honored with the PFGF Dr. N.R. Menon Best Post Graduate Thesis Award by the Professional Fisheries Graduate Forum (PFGF) for the MFSC thesis completed in 2018.
- In 2019, received theBest Young Research Forum Award at the 2nd International Conference on Food Safety and Hygiene held in London, UK, for presenting the best research paper.
- In 2019, awarded the Best Research Presentation by the Asian Fisheries Society at the 12th Asian Fisheries and Aquaculture Forum (12th AFAF) in Iloilo, Philippines, for delivering the best research presentation.
- In 2018, awarded the TNJFU Best Research Paper Award by Tamil Nadu Dr. J. Jayalalithaa Fisheries University, Nagapattinam, for presenting the best research paper.
- In 2018, recognized for delivering the Best Oral Presentation at the Central Institute of Fisheries Education.
